Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Voter Registration Outreach Representative to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring that eligible voters are informed, engaged, and registered to vote. The representative will engage with the community through phone outreach, canvassing, and event participation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Phone Outreach:

  • Conduct phone calls to potential voters to provide information about the registration process, deadlines, and voting rights.
  • Answer questions and assist individuals with the registration process.

• Canvassing:

  • Go door-to-door in designated neighborhoods to promote voter registration.
  • Distribute informational materials and assist residents with completing voter registration forms.

• Event Participation:

  • Represent the organization at community events, fairs, and workshops to promote voter registration.
  • Set up booths, engage with attendees, and collect completed registration forms.

• Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and voter registrations.
  • Report progress and challenges to the team regularly.

• Community Engagement:

  • Build relationships with local organizations, schools, and community leaders to promote voter registration initiatives.
  • Educate the community on the importance of voting and civic engagement.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with voter registration processes and election laws (preferred).
• Comfortable engaging with diverse populations and addressing their questions and concerns.
• Experience in community outreach, canvassing, or customer service is a plus.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
