RSM's National Healthcare Consulting practice is searching for a Healthcare Solutions Supervisor who will lead business process redesign efforts in connection with the implementation of leading edge natural language processing coding and CDI systems. This role will also facilitate training in new systems and processes and change management activities to enable the new processes. This role will be part of a multi-disciplined project team and will work collaboratively with both fellow consulting and client team members.

As a member of the RSM's National Healthcare consulting practice, you will join professionals with a broad knowledge of the Healthcare industry including: financial analysis and revenue cycle management, regulatory reporting and compliance, HIPAA privacy, security and Healthcare IT.

The Healthcare Solutions Supervisor will also have a basic understanding of the consulting cycle process within the healthcare industry. As a key contributor, they will support the building of a world class healthcare practice through listening to client needs, proposal development and presentation of solutions.

**This position can be based out of our one of our primary RSM offices such as Mclean, VA - Atlanta, GA - Raleigh, NC - Chicago, IL - Schaumburg, IL - New York City, NY **

Responsibilities:

  • Assess current state workflow and work with implementation team to validate proposed future state fits with overall project objectives

  • Ability to manage budgets, coordinate and run client meetings and collaboration sessions

  • Participate in CDI and coding (inpatient/outpatient, and professional) organizational assessment and process improvement projects

  • Deploy innovative healthcare industry-specific solutions

  • Deliver training

  • Facilitate process and organizational change management

  • Travel as needed (25 - 75%)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or Nursing

  • 5 + years of healthcare coding experience, management experience

  • Knowledge of computer assisted coding/CDI software

  • Experience training client personnel on new process/systems

  • Experienced with facility coding, professional fee coding, and CDI processes and workflows

  • Experience with HIM, systems implementation projects and assessments

  • Strong communication skills and ability to mentor

  • Direct experience with implementation of software in a healthcare setting

  • Experience with leading electronic health records systems (e.g. Epic, Cerner)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Internal or external consulting/change management experience a plus

  • Experience with 3M 360 Encompass a plus

Compensation Range: $97,700 - $195,000
