Description of Work:
The Senior Associate Director of Admissions is responsible for assisting the Director of Admissions with the development and execution of a comprehensive recruitment plan for undergraduate new enrollment, which includes first-time freshman and transfer students. Responsible for the development, implementation, and assessment of UNL's undergraduate recruitment initiatives for resident and non-resident freshman and transfer students. Collaborates with the most senior director-level position to yield new undergraduate enrollment of students classified as international. This position oversees the strategic approach for and execution of high school visits, transfer college visits and college fair travel initiatives, oversees the management of UNL's presence in Nebraska and out-of-state regional territories, oversees recruitment events on and off campus.
This position is critical to UNL's undergraduate recruitment efforts toward yielding related new enrollment goals, is the only of its kind, supervises around 40 professional staff. In the director's absence, this position will consult with the Associate Vice Chancellor for ASEM with regard to the incumbent's responsibility for overseeing the entirety of the Office of Admissions—which entails providing direction to the associate directors of in-state and out-of-state regional recruitment, admissions operations, and college relations. Regarding the achievement of undergraduate new enrollment goals, this position will serve as a liaison with UNL campus partners (including UNL Extension), community agencies, and high schools and community colleges. The position cultivates and maintains strong relationships with UNL campus partners (including UNL Extension), community agencies, county extension officers, high schools and community colleges. Responsibilities will include undergraduate recruitment yield management, and the implementation of programs that will allow greater visibility the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in these areas. Night and weekend activities and travel required.

Bachelor's degree plus 5 years student recruitment or related experience; at least 3 years must be in an Undergraduate Admissions Office. Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions and strategic recruitment plans. Excellent written and oral communications experience. Supervision experience of full-time staff. Proven ability to work independently and with little or no supervision, little or no clerical support.
Experience with Customer Relationship Management ( CRM ) Recruitment Software (examples: Slate, Salesforce/TargetX, Salesforce/EnrollmentRx). Must have a willingness to travel. Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree preferred. Proven success in undergraduate recruitment. Knowledge of the state of Nebraska and its challenges amongst under-represented populations. Knowledge of non-resident regional recruitment territories. Experience and knowledge regarding the recruitment and enrollment yield of high ability, diverse undergraduate students. Demonstrated experience increasing nonresident enrollments.Experience recruiting in a large public and/or competitive private institution.Familiarity with UNL s High School and College Relations operations and procedures.
Posted Salary: $80,000/yr. minimum
