Work Schedule:
Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity

Ally Insurance also services the insurance needs of our dealers' businesses by offering dealer inventory insurance, and liability and property protection. This position offers an excellent and challenging opportunity to apply Financial Risk Management principles to an insurance business that is a subsidiary of a large financial institution. It is the purpose of the Ally Insurance Risk Management organization, to establish and maintain effective controls and tools for the management of risk that may impact, among other things, earnings, capital adequacy, liquidity and reputation. To identify, measure, and manage these and other risks, risk management strives to implement effective internal controls, provide timely and reliable management information, and develop processes and metrics to monitor exposures.

The Work Itself

  • Execute daily transaction & review testing
  • Maintain strong understanding of Ally insurance products, functions, and workflows
  • Assist manager with developing annual scope and plan along with monthly productivity targets
  • Provide summary and detailed report of findings along with recommendations for individual and/or group action plans
  • Maintain an understanding of Ally's monitoring and testing approach, methodology and tools/technology
  • Develop and maintain proactive working relationships with local management and staff
  • Update monitoring attributes as appropriate
  • Participate in periodic calibration sessions with BL Risk and management
  • Assist BL Risk manager in preparing and presenting plan and results to leadership monthly

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelors (or higher) degree in business required or 3 years of relevant experience can be used in lieu of degree (including military service)
  • 1+ year of relevant experience required
  • Familiarity with Ally Insurance products or experience with F&I or P&C business preferred
  • Strong project management skills
  • Detail-oriented, deadline driven, self-directed and organized individual
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Able to understand risk and control concepts
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes, systems and controls
  • Experience in data analytics and analysis and demonstration of critical thinking skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel (~5%)

Base Pay Range : $47840 - $65000 USD

An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
