HR Recruiter and Generalist Location Oak Brook, IL :

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Recruiter with HR Generalist responsibilities to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in full-cycle recruiting, particularly using LinkedIn Recruiter, and proven success in attracting top talent across various roles, including engineers, installers, technicians, accounting, and sales. This role will also involve participation in career fairs, developing relationships with trade schools, and handling key HR generalist duties such as onboarding, compliance, and employee relations.

Major Responsibilities Include:

  • Full-cycle recruitment for roles including but not limited to forklift technicians, installers, and other positions in the racking industry.
  • Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter and other online platforms to source and engage with high-quality candidates.
  • Manage job postings across various platforms, ensuring they are optimized to attract the right talent.
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess candidates' qualifications and cultural fit.
  • Participate in and organize career fairs and other recruitment events to build a pipeline of potential candidates for both current and future needs.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand the specific needs for each role and tailor recruitment strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain relationships with trade schools, vocational programs, and industry associations to attract skilled talent.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations during the hiring process.
  • Track and report recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, source of hire, and other KPIs.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees, ensuring a smooth transition and positive first-day experience.
  • Provide support for employee relations, resolving issues and ensuring a positive workplace environment.
  • Support performance management processes, assisting in conducting reviews and development plans.
  • Assist with employee documentation and maintaining accurate HR records.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in recruiting and other HR generalist roles.
  • Hands-on experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools (Indeed, Glassdoor, etc.).
  • Experience recruiting in the in an industrial or technical field, with a focus on roles such as forklift technicians, installers, or similar positions is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with recruiting at career fairs, trade shows, and other industry-specific recruitment events.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certification in HR or recruitment (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, AIRS) is a plus.

Compensation:

  • This is a full-time exempt position.
  • Base salary range is $70,000-$90,000.
  • Bonus eligible.
