Job Description

**Job Title: Welder** **Job Description** As a Welder, you will be tasked with welding and fabricating structural and miscellaneous members, including columns, beams, trusses, vertical and horizontal bracing, stairs, rails, ladders, and frames. You should have the ability to MIG weld, read blueprints, and input layouts for machines while being capable of lifting 50+ pounds. **Responsibilities** + Welding and fabricating structural and miscellaneous members such as columns, beams, and trusses. + Reading and interpreting blueprints for project layouts. + Performing MIG welding tasks. + Operating hand tools efficiently. + Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in MIG welding. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Capability to lift over 50 pounds. + 6+ months experience in reading blueprints and using a tape measure. + 6+ months of hand tool experience. + 6+ months of hand welding experience (non-production). **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Passing a Horizontal 2G weld test in the GMAW process. + 6+ months of experience in welding structural components. + Job tenure of 6 months to 1 year in most recent roles. + Punctuality and reliability in attendance. + Ability to remain on feet for the entire workday. **Why Work Here?** The company values its employees by providing catered lunches on Fridays, hosting Christmas parties with giveaways, organizing tailgates, and offering ample overtime opportunities. **Work Environment** The work environment is industrial and includes a team of 40 individuals on the floor. The facility does not have air conditioning, so it is important to dress in layers as needed. Safety gear such as steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and jeans are required. The first shift operates from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and the second shift runs from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, with some Saturday overtime required, especially during busy periods in summer and early fall. The second shift does not require Saturday work. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, NE. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
