Job Description
We are seeking a Trust Officer with a strong background in trust and estate administration for a full-time position with a growing boutique firm dedicated to providing trustee and fiduciary services. Our Trust Officers serve as relationship managers to our clients by providing support and guidance in managing their trust and estate administration needs.
The ideal candidate will possess superior communication and interpersonal skills and have three or more years of experience as a trust officer. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to advance their career with a competitive salary.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor's Degree required (graduate and law degrees are desirable)
* 3+ years working experience in trust and estate administration required
* Experience as a Trust Officer, Trust Relationship Manager, or similar position
* Comprehensive understanding of the role of fiduciaries and delivery of trust services
* Experience working on complex trust issues for high net worth individuals
* Proficient working with Microsoft Office and Windows operating environment
* Exceptional written and oral communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* A degree or background in Tax is preferred, but not required
Essential Duties:
* Manage assigned trust relationships including all aspects of opening, administering, and closing of trust and fiduciary business
* Complete all necessary regulatory reporting regarding trust accounts
* Review legal documents, correspondence and forms and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, governing documents and applicable regulations
* Identifying and reporting compliance/risk related matters as well as assisting with the management and mitigation of risk
* Acting as a fiduciary while protecting the interests of the trust company and working in a fiduciary capacity for your clients
* Build multi-generational relationships with members to retain assets held in trust
* Maintain awareness of emerging products and services and new developments in the industry
* Stay current on all laws and regulations related to the administration of trust accounts
