About the Role

Our client, a leading innovator in veterinary medical technology, is seeking an experienced Technical Writer with a background or strong familiarity with veterinary medical devices . This role involves creating clear, accurate, and regulatory-compliant documentation that supports product development, user training, and compliance efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain user manuals, technical guides, SOPs, and product labeling
  • Translate complex veterinary device concepts into clear, concise language
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, veterinarians, and QA/regulatory teams
  • Ensure documentation complies with industry regulations (FDA, ISO, etc.)
  • Conduct research, interviews, and device testing to fully understand product functionality
  • Assist in developing training materials and customer support documentation

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical writing experience (preferably in medical or veterinary devices)
  • Solid understanding of veterinary medicine and/or animal health technology
  • Experience with regulatory documentation (FDA, CE marking, ISO standards)
  • Proficiency with authoring tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, MS Office)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Bachelors degree in English, Technical Writing, Life Sciences, or related field

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience working in a veterinary or animal health setting
  • Knowledge of UX writing or instructional design
  • Experience with document management systems (e.g., Veeva, Confluence, SharePoint)
