Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join their dynamic team in the property industry. As a Staff Accountant , you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

• Handle full cycle accounting responsibilities for a portfolio of residential multi-unit properties  
• Includes: collecting AP & AR details from properties, journal entries, bank reconciliations, financial statement prep, month-end close  
• Assist in the development of property budgets and forecasts  
• Monitor budget variances and provide explanations for any discrepancies  
• Manage cash flow for assigned properties, ensuring adequate funds for operational needs   
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies

Staff Accountant Requirements:   

• 1+ years' experience in property accounting space, ideally residential  
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred  
• Proficient in accounting software and Excel preferred  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
