About the Role

As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will work under the supervision of the VP of Finance, supporting key accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. Your expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with GAAP standards, managing financial reporting, and leading a small team.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations.

Oversee and mentor junior accounting team members.

Reconcile subledgers to the general ledger monthly.

Ensure all financial transactions comply with GAAP.

Respond to information requests, assist with audits, and review financial statements.

Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting transactions at month-end.

Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets.

Coordinate with overseas finance teams on a weekly basis or as needed.

Prepare local tax filings and work with external tax firms for quarterly and annual reporting.

Perform financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making.

What You Bring

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required). CPA certification is a plus.

Experience: 10+ years in a similar accounting role.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Experience in inventory management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).

Experience with Dynamics 365 is a plus.

Soft Skills:

High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
