Job Description

  • JOB PURPOSE
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media and community engagement strategy that aligns with SheaMoisture’s overall marketing objectives and foster a positive and active online community.
    • Lead and manage the development and execution of content on our owned social channels and including proactively identifying emerging trends, platforms, and opportunities to keep SheaMoisture at the forefront of the social media landscape.
    MAIN RESPONSIBILITES

    • Lead the 'voice' of the brand online and build strong engagement with communities across social media platforms using our owned channels to foster community engagement by actively monitoring and responding to comments, messages, and mentions, building and maintaining relationships with followers and identify opportunities to amplify user-generated content and develop/implement strategies to connect more intimately with our community both online and in-person.
    • Lead social media agency in developing and executing the brand's social strategy, translating strategic objectives into a compelling and cohesive social media presence across platforms.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to make sure that the content we’re making for social can be maximized across other channels and collaborate with Marketing Lead and cross functional brand leads.
    • Champion user-generated content (UGC), identifying and elevating authentic content that resonates with SheaMoisture and our community.
    • Track and analyze social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of content and campaigns; provide regular reports with actionable insights to inform future strategies.
    • Continuously optimize our social media strategy based on engagement insights and trends.
    • Contribute to and lead creative briefs to inspire and inform agency teams in the development of brand content
    • Provide thought leadership in social space; leverage a deep understanding of internet culture to ensure all content seamlessly integrates with the platform and effectively connects with our target audience.
    • Develop and execute individual/tactical social plans related to key spaces, partnering with agency and extended team on opportunities and tactical roll out plans
    • Partner with media agency to develop and execute content amplification strategies that maximize reach and engagement across paid, owned, and earned channels
    • Lead and execute the social media components of digital media partnerships, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and maximizing impact across platforms.
    • Other social/digital duties as assigned.

    What You Need To Suceed

    • 5+ years experience working in social media
    • Stay deeply immersed in the dynamic landscape of internet culture and emerging trends, with a strong passion and nuanced understanding of the digital and social media ecosystem
    • Demonstrated ability to elevate brand storytelling and drive creative ideation, while optimizing integrated strategies to unlock breakthrough opportunities
    • Skilled in crafting engaging, platform-native content tailored for social media and digital platforms.
    • Experienced in managing and nurturing online communities—particularly within the beauty space—through proactive engagement, moderation, and brand voice alignment.
    • Adept at handling customer interactions with professionalism and empathy, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to build trust and loyalty.
    • Confident navigating emerging content formats, platforms, and technologies to stay ahead of digital trends
    • Highly collaborative, with a proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
    • Exceptional communicator, both in written form and live presentations
    • Organized with a sharp eye for detail and precision in execution.

    Pay: The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. 

    Bonus: This position is bonus eligible. 

    Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
