Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility.

The Senior Nuclear Licensing Engineer will be responsible for providing nuclear licensing support to the project and executing specialized activities during the licensing and engineering phases. This position has technical responsibility producing licensing documents, interfacing with regulators and designers, maintaining the safety case and preparing reports. This position will report to the Project Engineering Manager on the project and will work in coordination with other engineering disciplines to develop licensing and design documents.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in nuclear power plant design and regulatory requirements and will be capable of developing licensing and design documents that maintain safety in design. Additionally, the ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and embrace Bechtel’s diversity & inclusion, leadership, quality, and safety values.
