Role : Senior AWS Developer with Java

Location : NJ/ PA

Experience : 7+

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS Developer with expertise in Java to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performing cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS services, Java-based application development, and a deep understanding of cloud architecture and best practices. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and innovative solutions for complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Architecture & Development
   • Design, implement, and deploy scalable and secure AWS-based applications.
   • Develop serverless applications using AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and S3.
   • Implement cloud-native solutions and migrate existing applications to the AWS platform.
2. Application Development
   • Develop and maintain Java-based applications, leveraging frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, or similar technologies.
   • Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices and design patterns.
   • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure application quality.
3. Collaboration & Problem-Solving
   • Work closely with architects, product owners, and other developers to design and build effective solutions.
   • Solve complex technical challenges and identify areas for system improvement.
   • Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate in a DevOps-driven environment.
4. AWS Service Optimization
   • Optimize the use of AWS services for cost, performance, and security.
   • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch or similar tools.
   • Ensure the security and compliance of solutions with industry standards and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudFormation, and IAM.
  • Proficiency in Java development with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles.
  • Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot , Hibernate, or JPA.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Cloud & DevOps:
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, and AWS CodePipeline.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Database Management:
  • Hands-on experience with both relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB).
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and innovative approach.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills:

• AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate/Professional).
• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems.
• Understanding of modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in Java application development.
• 3+ years of experience working with AWS cloud services.
