Accountant
Onsite in Saint Louis, Missouri
Salary: $60,000-$70,000

We provide accounting and bookkeeping services for small business clients across the St Louis region..
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of accounting knowledge and a proven track record of accuracy. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing various aspects of the month-end close process, ensuring client account balances and financial transactions are accurate. If you are a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for excellence.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Make recommendations for improvements.
Provide excellent client service, including managing client A/R and A/P, answering client inquiries, and maintaining positive client relationships
Assist with preparation of client budgets and cash flow projections.
Manage client financial transactions and ensure compliance with financial regulations
Research and propose solutions for any client discrepancies
Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
Create any necessary month end journal entries that are required by client. Maintain spreadsheets as back up for journal entries.
Process client payroll and ensure compliance with payroll regulations, including filing and paying state and federal payroll taxes
Collaborate with other team members to achieve company goals
Requirements:
Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
3-5 years of experience in accounting or related field
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
Must have Quickbooks Online and Desktop experience
Experience with payroll software, such as ADP, Gusto and Quickbooks Online
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
