The Office of Economic Development and International Trade (“OEDIT”) was created to foster a positive business climate that encourages quality economic development through the support of local and regional economic development activities in the State of Colorado. A comprehensive slate of programs within OEDIT’s divisions works together to offer economic development services for all Colorado businesses – new and expanding, traditional and emerging, small and large – including retention programs to ensure the continued competitiveness of Colorado’s economic base, and job training to keep Colorado’s workforce the best in the nation.

This role will be a part of OEDIT’s Operations Team reporting to the Senior Salesforce Administrator. The Salesforce Administrator will provide support in configuring and maintaining OEDIT’s two Salesforce orgs to further the business needs of OEDIT staff, contractors, and residents of Colorado. This position will serve Salesforce needs across all OEDIT programs. The Salesforce Administrator will troubleshoot and work with end users to ensure Salesforce applications meet their needs and keep pace with changes in program operations, policies, and procedures. This is a hybrid role, and applicants must live in Colorado. OEDIT is not able to cover relocation expenses.
Programmatic Duties and Responsibilities
Salesforce Configuration
Maintain broad knowledge of OEDIT-wide Salesforce development needs
Develop and maintain an understanding of application dependencies, workflows, integrations, and processes surrounding applications
Maintain product development backlog to ensure change orders are being addressed in a planned and efficient manner
Configure declarative changes to OEDIT’s Salesforce orgs, including (but not limited to) field updates, page layouts, validation rules, user permissions and sharing updates, flows, approval processes, and Experience site configuration
Ensure configuration and adoption of new release features
Perform quality assurance testing prior to each release
Training and Technical Support
Develop and update documentation and training materials
Plan and facilitate training sessions for Salesforce users
Serve as a liaison for troubleshooting and Q&A from users
Provide technical support for existing applications (custom applications for accounting, purchasing, and program management, Public Sector Solutions Grants Management, OmniStudio, and Marketing Cloud sites)
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
Gather requirements from stakeholders for improvements or changes to the system
Lead working groups as necessary to solve problems and implement solutions associated Salesforce development
Provide communication updates to stakeholders on project development and status
Work with app developers (contractors and the Office of Information Technology) as needed to define, communicate, and manage new developments
Consult with users (OEDIT staff, vendors, grant applicants and recipients, Colorado residents) to manage input and feedback on new designs and updates
Process Improvement
Develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity
Adhere to all policies and processes set forth by the Office of Information Technology
Assist in advancing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
Certified Salesforce Administrator
1-3 years of functional analyst experience or technical development experience with Salesforce
1-3 years of experience developing flows.
Experience with Program/Project Management framework (LEAN, Scrum, Six Sigma, etc.)
Highly Desired Qualifications
Additional Salesforce Certifications such as Platform App Builder, Advanced Administrator, or Business Analyst preferred.
Experience with Omnistudio, Salesforce Public Sector Solutions and Marketing Cloud optional, but highly preferred.
Ability to identify areas for process improvement and recommend/implement solutions.
Strong organizational/time management skills; ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong work ethic, hands-on, with a customer service mentality
Conditions of Employment

Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 Annually
This position is considered non-classified, which means the position is not part of the Colorado State Personnel System. Therefore, the individual appointed to this position is considered at-will, and is not covered by the State Personnel Rules or the State Classification System. However, this position does come with the same benefits (retirement, insurance, etc.) as every other State employee, and with the same opportunities, pride and passion that comes with working for the great State of Colorado. Even though employment is at-will, non-classified positions have protections against discrimination and retaliation in state and federal employment laws. “At-will” employment means that either the employee or the State may terminate the employment relationship at any time for any reason or no reason, with or without notice or cause, as long as no federal or state law is violated.
A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and state seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. While all offers are compliant with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, there is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
