Head Strength and Conditioning Coach

Saint Joseph High School seeks a dedicated Head Strength & Conditioning Strength Coach to lead and develop a successful strength program.

The desired candidate will have significant strength and conditioning coaching experience and demonstrates the core values essential to the mission of Saint Joseph High School. In addition, the candidate will possess the requirements and skills in the following areas:

• Candidate should possess a strength and conditioning certification through the NSCA (CSCS) OR demonstrate progress towards getting a HS strength and conditioning certification.
• Successful time management skills.
• Successful communication skills with key stakeholders: athletes, coaches, and administrators.
• Experience with weight room performance platforms such as Teambuildr. 
• Background and experience in strength/conditioning training program design. 
• Experience with creating a positive and competitive culture and environment in the weight room.
• Work efficiently with frequent changes in schedule.
• Work collaboratively with physical education classes. 
• Be able to demonstrate common strength training lifts such as squats, deadlifts, cleans, etc.
• Manage the cleanliness of the weight room; Be able to inspect equipment for abnormalities/structural issues, request repairs when applicable and communicate orders for smaller pieces of equipment (bands, chalk, etc.) when needed.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in exercise science or related field.
