This position is onsite Monday – Friday (7:30am to 5:30pm) with a Saturday (7:30am to 1:30pm) rotation.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing exceptional service, promptly addressing concerns or issues, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
- Effectively communicate with customers regarding their automotive concerns, and provide appropriate solutions or recommendations for service needs.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure efficient and timely completion of services, communicating any specific customer requests or concerns effectively.
- Recommend maintenance per GM guidelines or additional findings that may arise during the service process to customers.
- When appropriate, educate customers about additional GM maintenance services or products that can benefit their vehicles.
- Prepare accurate and detailed repair orders, ensuring that all customer requests and service recommendations are documented.
- Handle customer payments, process transactions, and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to provide customers with a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned through continued employment.

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prefer prior automotive industry experience in a customer service setting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills include data entry, repair order creation, and payment processing.
- Reliable, trustworthy, organized, and efficient.
- Ability to operate an automobile with a valid driver's license.
- Must allow pre-employment screenings, background, driving, and drug test.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation and comply with workplace health procedures as directed by the public health department.
LOCATION:
2525 28th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI, 49512. We are near great lunch spots and shopping centers and 15 minutes from the heart of Grand Rapids.
