MD Staffing Services is actively recruiting Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) licensed in California for upcoming telemedicine and onsite locum opportunities statewide.  We partner with healthcare organizations to deliver high-quality mental health care through modern telepsychiatry programs and facility-based assignments. Classification: 1099 Independent Contractor (role-dependent)

Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy, through secure telehealth platforms. This position offers excellent flexibility, allowing you to maintain a work-life balance while delivering high-quality mental health care to a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct virtual psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up visits via secure video platforms.

• Provide psychotherapy, counseling, and mental health support as clinically appropriate.

• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized patient care plans.

• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and the broader care team to ensure coordinated, whole-person care

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within 24 hours.

• Stay current on best practices in psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and evidence-based mental health treatment.

Requirements (Qualifications)

• Active ARNP licensure (PMHNP required) and current DEA certification

• California state licensure required (or ability to obtain quickly)

• Experience providing psychiatric care via telehealth preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic capability

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

• Reliable high-speed internet connection

• Organized, self-directed, and timely with documentation
