Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Counselor to provide telehealth counseling services to adults navigating career transitions, chronic conditions, and WorkLife wellness. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with diverse populations, open to ongoing training and interdisciplinary consultation, and values evidence-based practices. They should thrive in a remote work environment, be adaptable to change, and communicate with flexibility and curiosity. This is a 1099 contractor position with the expectation of building a caseload to a minimum of 16 billable hours per week, with a rolling average of 26 billable hours per week over 90 days once credentialing is complete.

Qualifications:
Required:
Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Clinical Mental Health, Career Counseling, Social Work, or a related field, including a clinical counseling internship
Provisionally licensed or fully licensed in Colorado to provide behavioral health services as a professional counselor or social worker
Minimum of one year of professional experience in a direct support role (e.g., human services, education, behavioral health, public health, vocational rehabilitation) involving one-on-one coaching, training, or counseling for diverse adult populations
Preferred:
Fully licensed in Colorado as a Professional Counselor, Advanced Generalist Social Worker, or Clinical Social Worker
Experience working with Medicaid populations or willingness to gain this experience
One to three years of experience providing telehealth counseling
Experience applying models of psychosocial development, medical aspects of disability, and career development in supporting adults facing career changes, life transitions, or impairments
Position Requirements:
Maintain a minimum average of 16 billable client hours per week
Complete and submit accurate documentation in a timely manner
Deliver telehealth services in compliance with confidentiality and privacy regulations
Have access to a secure, private workspace equipped with reliable internet and a computer with a camera and microphone
Attend periodic mandatory remote meetings and training sessions
Maintain a consistent work schedule for client and administrative appointments
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one counseling to adults managing career transitions, chronic conditions, and WorkLife wellness
Collaborate with clients to establish, review, and adjust treatment goals as needed
Support clients in managing complex interpersonal dynamics and conflicts affecting their career and personal lives
Educate clients on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and healthy behaviors
Guide clients in accessing community resources and support networks
Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal regulations in the counseling profession
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessments
Collaborate with other mental health professionals for comprehensive client care
Stay informed on best practices through ongoing training and professional development
Engage in self-care practices to prevent burnout and maintain well-being
Utilize culturally sensitive communication strategies to support clients from diverse backgrounds
Participate in required supervision or mentorship in compliance with licensing and organizational policies
