Job Description

Our client is an international manufacturer of industrial adhesives. Due to continued growth they are adding a Production Manager position to their Memphis, TN area manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled chemical industry manufacturing professional looking to grow as the business continues to invest and develop. 

Responsibilities 

• Reporting to the plant manager, lead production scheduling, manufacturing resource planning, equipment maintenance, staffing and capital expenditure planning for an adhesives manufacturing facility. 
• Manage efforts to meet on-time delivery targets, customer quality specifications and quality assurance objectives. 
• Manage all aspects of production team leadership including scheduling, training and addressing any team challenges. 
• Collaborate effectively with plant and senior management, customer service, logistics, sales, purchasing, human resources and other internal functions. 
• Analyze workflow data to drive improvements in production scheduling and processes. 
• Work with operations team ensure correct inventory levels for raw materials and finished products. 
• Ensure that all regulatory compliance and manufacturing safety objectives are met. 
• Develop work and manufacturing procedures to drive continuous improvement. 

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. 
• At least 10 years of increasing responsibility in a chemical manufacturing facility to include at least 5 years of team leadership experience. 
• Working knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS)/ISO 9001 standards. 
• Ability to lead and motivate manufacturing teams. 
• Well developed communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to adapt and adjust to urgent priorities and schedule deadlines. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Share Point.
