Job title: Principal Engineer (AI & Carrier Integration)

Location : : US (Remote ) occasionally vist project office 3 times per year

Duration : CTH ( only W2)
Overall Experience : 12 plus years

Key Responsibilities:
Highly experienced Principal Engineer to lead the design and development of next-generation AI-driven solutions for insurance carrier integration. This role will play a critical part in shaping our core platform capabilities—leveraging artificial intelligence to accelerate carrier connectivity, streamline quoting and underwriting workflows, and drive automation across the commercial insurance distribution ecosystem.
Architect & Lead Integration Work

• Design and oversee scalable, secure, and reliable carrier API integrations (REST, SOAP, EDI, ACORD, proprietary carrier systems).
• Define patterns, frameworks, and reusable services to accelerate onboarding of new carriers and lines of business.

AI & Automation Strategy

• Develop AI/ML pipelines to extract, normalize, and map submission and policy data (ACORD forms, loss runs, SOVs, proposals).
• Collaborate with Data Science/AI teams to embed LLMs and vector search into underwriting workflows.
• Evaluate emerging AI models and frameworks to ensure practical, cost-efficient adoption.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

• Serve as a hands-on technical leader, writing high-quality code and setting engineering best practices.
• Mentor senior engineers on AI, system integration, and distributed architectures.

Technical Expertise

• Proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript (Python experience a plus).
• Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven systems, and microservices.
• Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines, LLMs, and vector databases (e.g., MongoDB Atlas Vector Search, Pinecone, Redis).
