Job Description

Kiddie Academy of College Station has an opening for a dynamic, caring and flexible person to join us as a Part-time Support Teacher/Teacher Aid. This is a vital position requiring a positive attitude, creativity, collaboration, and most of all the versatility to work in any our classrooms with children ranging from 6-weeks through school age. RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for helping prepare and implementing proprietary curriculum, and assist in completing assessments and reports for the children daily
Helps and supervises children during all activities
Speak with parents and/or guardians during pick-up and drop-off hours
Counsels children when social, academic, or adjustment problems when they arise
Ensures that the appearance, cleanliness, and environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained and safe
Helps children with meal times and clean-up
Assist classrooms ranging from young infant to school-age children in areas such as: paperwork, daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance reports
Attends and participates in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested
Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this position
Must be able to adapt to teaching in any of the Academy classrooms
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of OR must be in a high school work study program relating to the area of child care
Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
Highly professional and dependable
Must be able to interact appropriately with students of all ages and skill levels as well as with parents, coworkers, and management
Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high
