The
Post-Production Manager oversees post-production processes, procedures, and outputs. He/She manages the post-production crew and editors, and ensures schedules and budgets are maintained. The Post-Production Manager is responsible for transforming raw footage into a cohesive narrative by overseeing editing, mixing sound, and visual effects. He/She monitors project progress to ensure it adheres to the production schedule. The Post-Production Manager possesses good communication skills and a sound understanding of the entire post-production process.
Job Responsibilities - Communicate clear and concise project expectations to editing teams
- Conceptualize editing requirements based on the creative vision for the production and the script
- Define common goals and direction among team
- Define effective performance management practices in line with organizational policies and procedures
- Define team development strategies by coaching and engaging in career discussions
- Determine and resolve issues on project implementation by collaborating with users, technical team, and management
- Develop project plans for the post-production operations in line with overall production schedules
- Drive processes to meet schedules, budget, manpower and technical quality targets
- Supervise the editing process, ensuring that the final product aligns with the creative vision and goals
- Work closely with editors to enhance video quality through color grading, sound mixing, and special effects
- Review and approve final cuts before publishing
- Enforce project discipline to document scope changes, issues and risks
- Lead regular project reviews to recommend schedule changes, and cost or resource adjustments
- Oversee budgets, forecasting and staffing of the various departments
- Perform quality checks on deliverables to ensure all creative, aesthetic and legal requirements are met
- Provide video editing progress updates to the team leads and creative leadership teams
- Suggest adoption of emerging technologies in work processes to improve quality of output content and workplace efficiency
- Ensure the technical quality of all video content meets the company’s standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during post-production
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and align on goals
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment
Job Qualifications - 7+ years of production experience with reference
- 5+ years of experience in video production with a focus on digital/live content
- Proven experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
- Strong knowledge of filming techniques, lighting, and sound engineering
- Experience managing live productions and familiarity with live streaming technologies
- Proficiency in task management and production scheduling tools
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and content creation
- Familiarity with YouTube analytics and content optimization strategies
Compensation: Salary + Performance-Based Bonus, Comprehensive Benefits Package. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
