Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide care and assistance to individuals in need. Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
- Prepare and serve meals based on dietary requirements
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for clients
- Provide end-of-life care and support for clients in hospice settings
Skills:
- Experience in nursing homes, senior care, patient care, or caregiving is required
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and dietary restrictions
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols
- Ability to provide physical assistance with mobility and transfers
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect client privacy
- Knowledge of hospice care principles is a plus
