Job Summary:

Are you a skilled medical biller with expertise in Oral Surgery, Orofacial Pain, Dental Sleep, and Medicare billing? We're looking for a dedicated Independent Contractor who is well-versed in using medical billing software and has a strong background in managing insurance claims. If you're someone who takes initiative, is organized, and has a passion for ensuring accurate billing and collections, we'd love to hear from you!

In this role, you'll use your own computer that meets our IT requirements to support clients by handling medical billing tasks efficiently. You'll be responsible for submitting and managing claims, tracking payments, and addressing any issues that arise with outstanding claims.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and submit accurate claims with appropriate modifiers to insurance companies electronically or via the 1500 form.
Verify insurance payments to ensure accuracy and compliance with provider contracts and patient benefits.
Perform collection actions, including communication with clients and insurance companies by phone and online platforms.
Utilize Accounts Receivable reporting to review, appeal, and resolve unpaid or denied claims.
Investigate and resolve denials by confirming the accuracy of explanation of benefits (EOBs) or addressing discrepancies.
Qualifications:

At least 2 years of medical billing experience with a focus on dental billing, including experience with AdvancedMD software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively track and manage claims.
Ability to accurately post payments and adjustments, and a deep understanding of EOBs.
Proven ability to work independently, set goals, and manage time effectively.
Reliable computer, printer, and high-speed internet, along with a dedicated workspace.

Maintain a high level of detail orientation in all tasks.
