Job Title: Medical Biller (Direct Hire)

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent / Direct Hire

First shift M-F

Location: Finger Lakes area, NY

Pay: $18-22/hour

Essential job duties for this role will include:

• Process claims and handling clearing house rejections
• Resolve denial instances
• Post charges
• Monitor accounts receivables
• Work with insurance companies on disputed claims and processing issues
• Update tracking spreadsheets
• Interact virtually with clients on billing and payment matters
• Assist with incoming mail
• Conduct duties in a professional and timely fashion
• Prepare ad hoc analysis and reports as necessary
• Other duties assigned

We’re looking for a Sales / Customer Service professional with the following background profile/skillset:

• Two years minimum of experience in accounts receivable field**
• Medical billing experience preferred*
• Valid NYS Driver’s license***
• General aspects of billing and payment collection
• Ability to work independently with a sense of personal ownership
• Ability to display a “Get things done” attitude as well as work as a part of a team
• Create problem - solving skills
• Effective Communication skills / Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Basic PC skills required, including proficiency in MS Office and internet applications
• Great organizational skills required
• Professional phone etiquette skills a must / strong aptitude for written and verbal customer service.
• Data Entry skills required: Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel Skills.
• Ability to consistently maintain orderly paperwork
