Position: Lateral Police Officer
The Newberg-Dundee Police Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Lateral Police Officer.
Salary and Benefits
Annual Salary: $77,730 - $99,216 (based on experience).

Qualifications
Age: Minimum 21 years old.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Driver's License: Valid driver's license required.
Certification: Must have completed the DPSST Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy or its equivalent for out-of-state candidates.
Experience: Prior law enforcement experience required.
Physical and Vision Requirements: Must meet Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) requirements.

Driving Record:
Major traffic offense, DUII, or license suspension within the past five years.
Multiple hazardous traffic violations or at-fault accidents within the past three years.
Drug Use:
Illegal drug possession, manufacture, or use within the past 10 years.
Marijuana use within the past two years.
Employment History:
Multiple involuntary terminations (excluding layoffs).
Disciplinary issues for insubordination, dereliction of duty, or policy violations.
Military Discharge:
Discharges classified as Other Than Honorable, Bad Conduct, or Dishonorable.
Additional Factors:
Poor moral fitness or integrity as determined by a thorough background investigation.
Failure to attend scheduled appointments or provide requested documentation during the hiring process.
