Job Summary: The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, and laundry services. This role involves managing a team of housekeeping supervisors, room attendants, and other staff, ensuring that cleanliness standards are consistently met or exceeded. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding service. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, public area maintenance, and laundry services.
  • Lead, train, and supervise housekeeping team, room attendants, and support staff to maintain high service standards.
  • Develop and manage team schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet business demands.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure adherence to cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and other departments to report and resolve any issues, such as repairs or service requests.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, ensuring proper stock levels and efficient usage.
  • Oversee the onboarding, training, and development of housekeeping staff to build a skilled, motivated team.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations across all housekeeping operations.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, control expenses, and track costs to maintain efficient operations.
  • Address guest concerns and feedback related to housekeeping, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Implement and uphold company policies, procedures, and standard operating practices (SOPs).
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in housekeeping management, preferably within a luxury resort or hotel.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of Property Management Systems (PMS), (e.g OPERA).
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk, stand, and move around the property for extended periods to oversee housekeeping operations.
  • Capability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 pounds, such as cleaning supplies, laundry, or equipment.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, and crouching to inspect rooms, storage areas, or assist staff with tasks.
  • Ability to handle cleaning equipment, supplies, and small tools effectively.
  • Adequate visual acuity to inspect cleanliness, spot maintenance needs, and read reports.
  • Ability to hear and respond to staff or guest inquiries, including in noisy environments like laundry or housekeeping offices.
  • Comfortable working in various conditions, such as exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and fluctuating room or laundry temperatures.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
  • $76,000-$82,000 per year
