The original 18-hole design of 1959 underwent a major reconstruction which included all greens rebuilding, lakes, bunkers, tree work and new tees, and cart paths. Additionally, there is a 19,400 square foot clubhouse offering gorgeous indoor and outdoor facilities for weddings, business meetings and events.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for performing manual labor, use of tools and equipment required to care for and maintain the golf course.  Assist in construction and maintenance of golf landscape operations. Operate, clean, and maintain golf course equipment.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS INCLUDE:

• $16-$18.90 per hour, based on relevant experience to the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keeps assigned equipment and shop area clean on a daily basis.
• Operates mowers, tractors, trimmers, hand tools, and other light equipment.
• Prepares vehicle and equipment for daily tasks.
• Returns equipment to designated area when task is completed.
• Complies with basic maintenance procedures of assigned equipment: maintains fuel and fluid levels; reports any problems immediately to mechanic.
• Assists in the construction of new greens, tees and fairways; grades and prepares soil base, lays sod, and seeds tees, greens, and fairways.
• Assists in the maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
• Edges cart paths.
• Edges, rakes, and maintains sand bunkers.
• Sets tee markers and cups.  
• Removes debris; sands and seeds tee and drop area divots; cleans flowerbeds.
• Mowing, seeding, irrigating, fertilizing, and seasonal maintenance of rough, tees, greens, and fairways.
• Maintains waterways.
• Applies chemicals and pesticides on landscaped areas and golf course under supervision and direction of a certified applicator.
• Excavates and backfills ditches and trenches with hand tools.
• Ensures proper clean up and disposal of waste material.
• Conforms to all safety rules, uses all appropriate safety equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of tractors and other motorized equipment.
• Basic knowledge of the principles of operation of diesel and gasoline engines.
• Mechanical aptitude; knowledge of maintenance tools.
• Knowledge of methods and materials used in grounds and landscape area construction and maintenance work.
• Working knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools and equipment.
• Physical strength, stamina and agility.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to work early morning hours and alternate weekend mornings.
• Some familiarity golf helpful but not required.
• Ability to perform a wide range of tasks.
