JOB TITLE: FELLOW ENGINEER (TRITIUM FIRE PROTECTION)
DUTIES
Apply technical experience in field of specializaton or broad-based experience in multple technical fields, and use other technical resources within the company, to resolve complex problems.
Incorporate advanced technical practces and a variety of complex features such as complicated technical requirements, applicaton of new or special materials or processes and difficult coordinaton or oversight requirements into problem solving and program planning.
Provide leadership in determining solutons to complex problems and be recognized as having expertse in a functonal area(s) of technical expertse.
Develop solutons to complex technical problems in fields of expertse.
Keep informed on technical needs within the company and technical trends in area of expertse in the external world.
Be aware of capabilites of the work group and needs of its customers.
Identfy technical programs which can be carried out with litle guidance and take the initatve to accomplish them.
Lead task teams for developing solutons to more complex problems. Prepare plans including schedules, budgets and personnel requirements for solving major technical tasks identfied by management.
Develop schedules, monitor progress, monitor expenditures of budget and review quality of work performed.
Include research, development, testng, quality assurance requirements.
Communicate the results and objectves verbally and in manuscript form to customers, colleagues, managers and oversight groups.
Prepare reports for external publicaton.
Develop Fire Scenario Documents/Fire Hazard Analysis to support Safety Basis development.
Develop design input documents related to Fire Protecton and Life Safety.
Review design output documents related to Fire Protecton and Life Safety.
Work Hours: Up to a 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utlizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80s (9
hours/day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB. Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Eachworkday has 30-minute lunch. Overtme will be expected at tmes to meet deliverables and will be
utlized at the discreton of the Design Authority Manager.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education: An advanced degree and experience, a Ph.D. degree and about 10 years' Tritum Fire Protecton experience. OR A MS degree and 12 years' Tritum Fire Protecton experience. OR A BS
degree and approximately 15 years' Tritum Fire Protecton experience.
Experience/Skills: Considered an internal expert in area of expertse.
Contributes to advancing knowledge in field of expertse through various avenues such as internal and external publicatons and professional society presentatons. Can solve complex problems in field.
Must have previous experience developing Fire Scenario Document/Fire Hazard Analysis for Tritum facilites.
Must have previous experience developing design input documents and reviewing design output documents related to FireProtecton and Life Safety.
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Job Qualificaton:
Candidate must be a Qualified Fire Protecton Engineer 2.
Area Security Access: Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance. An actve DOE clearance is not initally required to perform assigned dutes. Aſter award, the selected candidate will be notfied when to apply for a clearance based on specific work assignments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates who have possessed an actve DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
Candidate who is a licensed Professional Engineer.
