Description of Job

The salary range for this position is:
$51.10 - $61.32 Hourly
$4,087.85 - $4,905.69 Biweekly
$8,857.00 - $10,629.00 Monthly
$106,284.00 - $127,548.00 Annually


This position exists to provide specialized management and oversight of the Enforcement Unit. It supports the investigation and criminal prosecution of external and internal fraudulent criminal activity concerning FAMLI by ensuring the EU has the tools, procedures, and agreements in place to successfully investigate and submit cases for prosecution. This position shall investigate any internal or external complaints regarding the behavior or conduct of any Investigator within the EEU, in consultation with the ACE Branch Manager and with the assistance of the appropriate team Supervisor.


In this position, the work includes the strategic development of processes and procedures and goals and expectations for the FIU. This position will direct the supervisors of the 3 teams contained within the Enforcement Unit, namely, the Fraud Early Warning (FEW) team, the Fraud Investigations Team (FIT), and the Cyber Investigations Team (CIT). Some of those duties will include but are not limited to, representing the EU to FAMLI internal and external stakeholders, quality assurance review of their work/investigations, reviewing/approving timecards of direct reports, performance plans, etc. This position is the subject matter expert (SME) in EU processes and a high-level understanding of ACE and FAMLI processes. The SME’s knowledge is critical to the success of FAMLI. This position may handle requests for joint investigations with Agencies outside of FAMLI and assign a supervisor as the point of contact and direct supervisor for the investigation.


This position monitors work pattern changes by facilitating supervisors' communication within the EU. This position reviews EU unit personnel adherence to Policy and Procedures and strategic goals of the EU and approves operating expenditures. This position plans and organizes EU activities, recommends agency policy related to the EU, develops budget requests, and secures EU resources. This position provides coaching and training for EU Supervisors, initiates EU meeting discussions, and facilitates the requests for necessary tools and systems to support the EU’s mission to maintain the integrity of the FAMLI program. This position is responsible for making interpretive-level decisions, which involve establishing what processes will be implemented, developing the budget, and reviewing the staffing patterns within work units to deploy staff. This position uses judgment and resourcefulness to interpret circumstances and establish guidelines that direct the Enforcement Unit to carry out the goals of the ACE Branch, and the FAMLI program’s mission.
