We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity, fast-paced ED team. The ideal candidate is skilled in providing rapid, accurate assessments and delivering compassionate, effective care to patients of all ages in emergency situations. This role requires strong clinical judgment, quick decision-making, and the ability to respond effectively in trauma and life-threatening scenarios.
ED nurses in this role will:
Provide specialized and innovative emergency care.
Handle a wide range of trauma and medical emergencies.
Assess incoming patients with both physical and mental health concerns.
Prioritize patient needs and initiate appropriate interventions.
Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and staff.
Minimum 18 months of ED nursing experience.
Recent ED experience within the last 6 months.
Proven ability to formulate nursing care plans and perform a wide range of clinical duties.
Strong analytical, assessment, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to thrive in a high-volume, high-stress environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Active NJ RN License or Multistate Compact License

PALS
NIHSS
4-Hour Stroke CEU
Shift: Nights (3x12-hour shifts per week; 36 hours total)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: One winter holiday & one winter eve
Float Requirement: May float to a comparable inpatient telemetry unit
On Call: No on-call requirements
