Job Position: Electrical Systems Design Engineer

Location: Oak Brook, IL

Job Type: Contract

Job description:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with low-voltage (12V/24V) and high-voltage (HV) electrical systems in vehicles or equipment.
• Ability to read and create electrical circuit diagrams, schematics, and wiring harness drawings.
• Expertise in Electrical design and wiring harness design software:
  • CATIA Electrical, Siemens Capital, Zuken E3, Mentor Graphics, or equivalent tools.

• Experience with CAD tools for 3D harness routing and 2D flattening.
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems like Teamcenter, Windchill, or Enovia.
• Familiarity with international and industry standards
• Experience in creating and maintaining Electrical design specifications, Bill of Materials (BOM), and installation manuals.
• Knowledge of CAN/LIN/FlexRay Communication Protocols
• Understanding of communication protocols to integrate wiring harnesses with ECU and vehicle networks.
• Experience with Heavy Equipment/Off-Highway Vehicles
