Are you interested in becoming a member of a supportive and dedicated team working on leading Universal PreKindergarten (UPK) in California through an innovative, inclusive, and high-performing early education system in California? The Early Education Division (EED) at the California Department of Education supports the State's early education system by advancing equitable opportunities that optimize thriving children, families, and communities through the implementation of UPK. By supporting early education programs and teachers through research and evidence-based training, resources, and guidance, the EED helps ensure all of Californias children have access to high-quality services and education and have a strong early learning and care foundation for school and lifelong success.

Under the general direction of the Division Director of the EED and the general direction of the Deputy Superintendent of the Opportunities for All Branch, the Education Administrator I (EA I) manages the Program Quality Implementation (PQI) Early Head Start (EHS) Office. Responsibilities include a variety of management functions that include contract compliance monitoring, program training and technical assistance, and leadership, managerial direction, and supervision of professional, analytical, and support staff.
