Deploy, configure and manage big data clusters. Set up monitoring solutions to track health of service components and track metrics and alert on critical issues. Automate the provisioning and scaling of big data components using tools like ansible, chef and terraform. Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data in big data environments (e.g Kerberos authentication and data encryption). Relevant teams to fix bugs, improve performance or resolve outages. No international travel will be required for this position. In addition, this position will require travel within the U.S. to client sites. Specifically, travel will consist of 5-10% (3-5 weeks/year). Lastly, no relocation is required for this position. Position may work at various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.
