Are you excited about working with clients in the interior design industry? If so, this may be the perfect opportunity for you to join a fantastic company. 

We are looking for an intern to join our staff for a six-month internship at our beautiful Oakbrook location. In this role, you’ll engage with customers, address their questions, and design storage solutions. You will also collaborate with designers to create storage solutions and assist in preparing client presentations. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with clients, possess a flair for interior design, and be passionate about customer service. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Client Facing
  • Interact with clients (via phone, online, and in person) to welcome them to Inspired Closets, understand their interests, and answer their questions. 
  • Under the designer’s guidance, attend client meetings and assist in creating storage solutions and client presentations. 
  • Attend industry events as opportunities present themselves. 
• Administrative Duties
  • Coordinate with the designers to schedule consultations. 
  • Update and maintain the client relationship management system. 
  • Track and maintain essential client data. 
  • Assist and support the Sales Manager and design team. 
  • Perform various administrative duties as needed. 
• Showroom
  • Prepare and support showroom marketing and networking events. ​​​

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High energy, professional, friendly, and enjoys working with people. 
• Maintain a professional demeanor across all communication channels. 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
• Strong attention to detail. 
• Organized and efficient; capable of multitasking and adjusting priorities as needed. 
• Dependable and responsible with the ability to take initiative. 
• Self-starter. 
• Excellent computer skills (experience with design programs is a plus) and a willingness to learn new software. 
• Motivated to grow and build a career with Inspired Closets. 

Experience:

Pursuing an associate’s degree, preferably in interior design, and two or more years of experience in administrative roles, marketing, sales, customer service, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. 

This internship is paid per hour.  College credits may be earned for the internship depending on the school's requirements.
