Job Title: Data Center Technician / Management
Location: 100% Onsite Plano, TX
Visa Requirements: GC-EAD, TN

Job Summary:
The IT Operator Data Center Technician is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and administering technical environments, including performing implementations and providing operational support to ensure continuous availability. This role includes troubleshooting, escalating, and resolving incidents, interfacing with support teams and vendors, and ensuring system uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network & Server Maintenance: Installation, cabling, parts replacement, HDD, memory, CPU, RAID, NICs, etc.
• Data Center Support: Staging, deployment, asset management, hardware troubleshooting, site builds, and refreshes.
• Cable & Fiber Testing: Adequate testing, terminating Cat 6 cabling.
• Inventory & Documentation: Rack elevations (Nlyte), inventory control, system updates, and procedures.
• Preventative Maintenance: Maintenance for network and data center equipment.
• Power Distribution & Management: Experience with PDUs, load management, NEMA, IEC connectors.
• Data Center Safety & Standards: Cognizant of safety standards, lifting 50 lbs, and ensuring compliance.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Intermediate experience in Data Center/IT operations, software & hardware tools, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge: Familiar with LAN/WAN protocols, network cabling, server hardware, and electrical standards.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and ability to work in a 24/7 environment.
• Technical: Experience with transceivers, optical, electrical connectors, and data center design (heat dissipation, airflow).

Desired:

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Information Technology or equivalent training/experience.
• Experience: Technical training in WAN/LAN, Cisco routers/switches, presenting technical solutions, and troubleshooting.
• Skills: Advanced research, analytical skills, and knowledge of electronic principles.
