Job Description: As an Entry Level Corrections Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and order of the detention center while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

Monitoring and supervising inmates within the facility.
Conducting regular security checks and inspections of the premises.
Enforcing facility rules and regulations.
Responding to emergencies and maintaining calm under pressure.
Assisting with inmate intake, release, and transfer processes.
Collaborating with fellow officers and staff to ensure effective operations.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
Physical strength and agility to restrain and handle potentially volatile situations.
Good vision, hearing, and overall physical fitness.
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Comfort working in a confined and sometimes high-stress environment.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a corrections officer training program (preferred but not required).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow procedures and maintain composure in challenging situations.
Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
