Booth Creek Wagyu (BCW) is a completely vertical and rapidly growing wagyu beef company headquartered in Manhattan, KS. Consisting of its own ranch, feedlot, processing plant, and distribution center, BCW completely controls its processes and product from farm to fork. By leveraging its top 1% genetics and vertical integration all the way through, BCW supplies its own retail stores, e commerce, and select restaurants and wholesale meat markets with the very best beef that could possibly be created. Job Description



This role is multi-faceted, resulting in a wide range of duties on any given day. The basics are to keep the office running smoothly, whether managing the office supplies, customer inquiries, managing outside vendors such as cleaning services etc. This role also serves to leverage the bandwidth of the owner and sales manager. Duties will include correspondence and scheduling meetings and travel on their behalf, market research, note taking in meetings, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct phone calls in a professional manner.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents.
  • Handle office duties such as filing, organizing, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Order and manage office supplies to ensure the office is well-stocked.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating company events, meetings, and conferences.
  • Take notes during meetings, request agenda items, and distribute meeting notes promptly.
  • Serve as a point of contact between internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Answer customer inquiries via the chat inbox, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Monitor and manage the owner's email inbox, responding to emails on his behalf when necessary.
  • Maintain and coordinate the owner's calendar, scheduling appointments and meetings as required.
  • Organize and plan travel for owner/founder.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining heat maps to track product performance.
  • Oversee and manage various projects, ensuring timely completion and effective collaboration among team members.
  • Assist in sales-related activities, including preparing sales reports, tracking sales data, and supporting sales initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain training documents to support staff development.
  • Analyze data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Provide backup support for maintaining the company's Shopify platform.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree with two years or associate’s degree with four years’ work experience in an office environment or sales organization.
  • High proficiency with MS Office
  • High degree of proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • A penchant for keeping things organized and tidy
  • Occasional availability beyond a M-F 8-5 work schedule
