Part-Time Contracts Manager

Schedule: 3 days per week, 24 hours total
Hourly Rate: $40 - $60 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a Part-Time Contracts Manager to support our architectural design firm in Denver, CO. This role is ideal for a professional with a legal background and strong experience in contract review, negotiation, and management . The Contracts Manager will be responsible for ensuring our agreements align with industry standards, mitigate risk, and support the firm’s business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including client agreements, consultant agreements, subcontracts, and NDAs.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to architectural, engineering, and construction contracts.
• Identify and mitigate risks by advising on contractual obligations, liabilities, and potential exposures.
• Work closely with leadership, project managers, and external legal counsel to support contract negotiations and execution .
• Maintain organized records of contracts, amendments, and correspondence.
• Assist in resolving contract-related disputes and clarifying contractual terms as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in contract review, negotiation, and management .
• At least 1 year of experience working with contracts in architecture, engineering, or construction .
• A legal background (law degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent experience in contract law preferred).
• Strong understanding of contract law, indemnity clauses, insurance requirements, and risk management .
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Effective communication skills for working with internal teams and external stakeholders.
