Job Summary:

We're excited to announce an opportunity for a Remote Certified Medical Coder and Biller to join our team! In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient claims. Key Responsibilities:

Claim Review: Thoroughly review patient claims for accuracy and completeness, proactively obtaining any missing payer information needed.
Code Assignment: Ensure that codes are assigned correctly and sequenced appropriately according to government and insurance regulations.
Compliance: Adhere to medical coding guidelines and policies to maintain the highest standards of practice.
Chart Verification: Receive and verify patient charts and documents, ensuring all information is accurate.
Information Clarification: Follow up and clarify any unclear information with other team members to ensure a smooth workflow.
Reporting: Collect information from physicians and other sources to prepare monthly reports.
Strategic Implementation: Implement strategic procedures and select evaluation methods that yield accurate results.
Malpractice Analysis: Examine reported medical malpractice cases by analyzing and identifying the medical procedures, diagnoses, or events that contributed to the issue.
Qualifications:

Education: Associate degree in business, finance, health administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in a primary care clinic setting is preferred.
Certification: Certified medical coder with credentials from AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, CRC, CCS, or CCS-P).
Coding Expertise: Proficient in ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, CPT, Category II, and/or E/M coding.
EMR Experience: Familiarity with electronic medical records (e.g., eCW, EPIC, etc.).
Technical Skills: Proficient with MS Office products.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and a high level of emotional intelligence.
Decision-Making: Ability to make informed decisions based on independent thinking and business objectives.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $ 22.00 23.00 Per Hour
