Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
Kwik Trip, Inc. 's IT department is seeking a skilled Availability and Recovery Analyst.
Position Description:
This role will function as part of a team and individually to administer tools and processes to maintain Kwik Trip's IT availability and recovery program. Ensuring high availability and rapid recovery of critical business systems.
Position duties include but may not be limited to:
· Monitor and manage the availability of data and systems to ensure minimal downtime and compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
· Collaborate with the Availability and Recovery team in the administration of data protection, high availability, and disaster recovery technologies and solutions.
· Maintain thorough documentation of recovery procedures, updates, and changes to ensure clarity and compliance.
· Develop, manage, and maintain all IT recovery plans for business-critical processes.
· Coordinate and perform situational testing of IT recovery plans during appropriate times, such as new system deployments, upgrades, and pre-planned maintenance activities.
· Work with IT teams to ensure proper backup systems or high availability strategies are implemented.
· Assist in the creation and maintenance of project documentation related to recovery efforts.
Qualifications:
· Associate - degree in network or systems administration, computer science or a related field
· Minimum of one to two years of work experience in an enterprise IT environment with exposure to data protection tools and methodologies
· Knowledge of cloud concepts, terminology, and toolsets
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of performance
· Capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
· Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
· Strong customer service skills, ensuring timely and effective responses to team and business needs
· A passion for continuous learning and professional development, with a proactive approach to staying current in the cloud technology space
· Ability to analyze complex systems, anticipate future needs, and provide concise, thorough solutions
· Knowledge of project management concepts / terminology
Preferred:
· Knowledge backup and recovery tools or services
· Systems administration of complex applications or systems
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours or as needed to perform duties. Participate in on-call off hour rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical system issues and incidents for Kwik Trip.
