Job Title: AV Technician (Onsite)

Job Description:
A fully qualified Field Service Technician applies a broad working knowledge of electronics to a wide variety of assignments through the application of technical concepts, practices and procedures. The position is part of a customer support team and works on moderately complex AV and TV signal distribution systems. Methods of signal distribution are Coax Cable (RF), Ethernet (IPTV), Fiber Optic and Reception of TV via Over the air Broadcast and Satellite.

Responsibilities:

• This position requires a responsible, reliable and technical professional to provide varied maintenance, installation and repair duties for television signal transport systems.
• This includes, device installation, setup, configuration and performance testing and documentation. We also do Rack and Stack of systems here in our Horsham PA facility as well as performing these services for customers at their sites.
• Candidates can expect to travel up to 25-30% of their time which may include travel throughout the US and internationally.

Requirements:

• Ideally candidates will have a knowledge of low voltage wiring installations including pulling wire, terminating connections, troubleshooting problems, mounting and testing devices such as RF amplifiers, passive Cable TV distribution, Ethernet switches, RJ-45 Jacks and fittings. Knowledge and experience with RF signal level meters, LAN Ethernet testers, Volt Ohm Meters is a plus
• Should possess a mechanical aptitude towards using hand tools to include, but not limited to, drill’s, saws, screw drivers (manual and electric) and other hand and power tools. Candidates must have a strong work ethic and show pride in clean, neat and organized work.
• Must be able to pass Government security and Military security clearance to work at different secure locations. Must possess a valid driver’s license, passport or obtain one within 10 weeks of hire Must be willing to travel for up to 2-3 weeks at a time, domestically and or internationally. Must have reliable transportation
• Duties may require physical exertion, including reaching, carrying and lifting heavy equipment, up to 75 pounds, climbing ladders, working on rooftops. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be regularly required to commute to field locations. This may require the use of personal motor vehicles, company vehicles, trains, planes and rental vehicles
