Departmental Overview The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics consists of more than 275 staff members and coaches and sponsors 30 varsity sports programs. These 30 programs include more than 850 student-athletes who participate in the various sports programs annually within the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA). We are currently seeking an Assistant/Associate Director of Development, Leadership Annual Giving. Position Summary The Cal Athletics Fund is the fundraising and alumni relations arm of UC Berkeley's Intercollegiate Athletics Department, Cal Athletics. This position is responsible for helping to meet the fundraising objectives of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and ensuring that predetermined fundraising goals with regard to annual gifts are met. Under the supervision of the Associate Athletics Director this position is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of annual gift-level prospective donors as well as the implementation of moderate-sized comprehensive fundraising and alumni relations programs. Responsibilities Cultivate, Solicit and Steward Annual Fund Donors:Acts as a liaison to specific sports to provide alumni relations services to designated friends' groups and constituents.
Provides programmatic support and assists the Associate AD of Development and UDAR partners in developing and executing mass solicitation strategies in support of annual initiatives for Cal Athletics focused on growing the donor pipeline.
