HOW A APPLICATIONS MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects
  • Lead and guide the work of technical staff
  • Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects
  • Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage
  • Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met
  • Possess and apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments
  • Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks
  • Extensive knowledge of company policies, processes, and procedures - Understanding of company strategic goals and how they align to business operations
  • Perform independent thinking and complex tasks
  • May supervise others

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education:
  • Bachelor of Science degree; OR in lieu of degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required

Required Experience:
  • 10+ years of related professional work experience

Required Technical Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience with the Configuration, Management and Implementation of all infrastructure components, applications, hardware, and tools
  • Demonstrated experience with managed network, security and infrastructure operations and internet services
  • Demonstrated experience with SLA/OLA management, Knowledge Management. Service Delivery, Continuous Service Improvement, and Problem Management

Security Clearance Level:
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Possess Q or TS level clearance (or their equivalency) with the ability to obtain a Q level clearance
    • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain such clearance as a condition of employment

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Effective administrative and organizational skills
  • Effective people management skills

Preferred Skills:
  • ITIL/ITIL v4 certification
  • Project Management certification
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with SharePoint, Appian, Power Apps, and/or ServiceNow

Location:
  • This role requires to be on-site in Washington, D.C.

The likely salary range for this position is $136,000 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
