Administrative Assistant - Mining/Underground Operations (209) Requisition ID **209** - Posted - **MU-MU Mining-UG Ops** - **Carlsbad, NM, US - WIPP Site** - **Administrative**  **Overview** **Be part of the nation's only repository for the disposal of nuclear waste known as Transuranic (TRU) waste.** Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO), managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a **_Administrative Assistant_** and join our team located in Carlsbad, New Mexico. **Responsibilities** The successful candidates will suppport the Mining/Underground Operations Department. They will perform routine administrative duties including, but not limited to: assisting in the development and publishing of departmental correspondence/documents, proofing and developing internal and external presentations, serving as the departmental Training Coordinator, making travel arrangments, scheduling meetings, processing expense authorizations and reimbursements, serve as the Records Coordinator for the organization, and all other duties as assigned. Responsible for coordinating the Required Reading Program. The position requires ability to interact professionally with multiple levels of management and employees. Must exercise good judgement, discretion, and professionalism in all matters. **Minimum Requirements** _These requirements must be met to be considered for this posting. Uploaded resumes and completed applications are the means of determination._ + Associate's degree with two (2) years of administrative experience, or + High School Diploma or Equivalency with four (4) years of administrative experience is required. + Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory. _Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances.
